On June 3rd, 2020, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 749/QD-TTg approving the “National Digital Transformation Program towards 2025, vision to 2030”, setting the goal to be in the top 50 countries leading in e-Government development (EGDI).
COVID-19 pandemic poses tremendous challenges for all countries in the world, and Vietnam is not an exception. However, even in such the tough periods, many innovative start-ups have demonstrated their ability to adapt to unexpected situations and make breakthroughs in terms of not only their growth but also their effective support for the pandemic prevention.
Vietnam has a high rate of Internet and smartphone users. In the meantime, more and more Vietnamese come to online services during the COVID-19 pandemic. Vietnam also received lots of $100 million fundraising deals, being the home of strong startups such as Tiki, Vnpay, Momo. Therefore, Nguyen Manh Dung (Shark Dzung), founder of Do Ventures, believed that Vietnam has many opportunities to produce technology unicorns and develop its startup ecosystem.
