ASEAN Secretariat Conducts Project Evaluation Training

During the training, the participants learned about project evaluation in theory and practice. They discussed the theoretical principles of project evaluation and put them into practice through a series of exercises in the working context of ASEAN projects. The participants were also trained in project evaluation methodology and designing of evaluation tools.

By the end of the training, the participants reflected on the training materials vis-à-vis the current set up in the ASEAN Secretariat and discussed the way forward in supporting the future establishment of the ASEAN Secretariat’s project monitoring and evaluation mechanism.

The training was conducted with the support from the Capacity Building for the ASEAN Secretariat project, a partnership between the ASEAN Secretariat and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, commissioned by the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany.
